Motorists in the UK are braced for a fall in their insurance premiums in the near future. The government has implemented steps to reduce the compensation limits on whiplash claims as part of a clamp down on the rise in fraudulent claims. It is also in the process of revising the Ogden Discount Rate.
The government hopes that these steps, once implemented, will result in significant cost reductions to the insurance sector. Motor insurance providers are then excepted to pass these savings on to consumers through a reduction of their premiums.
